Handmade Stoneware Mug
I throw the body of the mug on my pottery wheel then leave to harden up a little. I then add the handle and stamp in the letters one at a time. The mug is then left to dry out completely before being bisque fired. I then hand paint each of the letters and dip the whole mug in a clear glaze. After another firing in the kiln the mug is finished.
The mug is on the small side (for me!) at 9.5cm tall. But they do vary slightly due to the handmade nature of the mugs.
